The Boulder Outdoor Cinema
is always looking for ambitious people who want to have fun while
they work. Our working environment is like no other.
Master of Ceremonies - We are bringing
back that "interactive" feel before each outdoor movie.
We want a live body in front of the audience from 8:00 PM to 9:00
PM. Mixing general announcements and entertaining the crowd with
your quick wit and excitement. Trivia contests, improv, comedy
and creative audience participation will be a part of your act.
Some nights you will blend your act with live musicians and bands.
You will work with our audio visual tech and venue manager to
produce a memorable pre-show.
Gate Crew- You
are gregarious, friendly and love meeting new people. You are
the first person the audience meets. You are excited they have
come and want them to come back again. Greeting and welcoming
the audience to the Outdoor Cinema experience. Collecting admissions
and slapping a fun name tag on their person. Other duties include
setting up the venue and gate tables along with props that reside
on it.
Gate staffers work from
6:30 PM to 9:30 PM which means you'll still have plenty of time
to enjoy your social evenings. Or stick around and make new friends.
Assistant Projectionists
- You are a master of detail and your focus is impenetrable.
Your primary duties include setting up a mobile projection system
and assisting with the audio visual presentation each evening.
Setting up the screen requires that you aren't afraid of heights
and have good coordination. Some additional venue setup is also
part of the role. The hours are from 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM. This
position serves as our training ground for the Lead Projectionist
position.
Managers - You
are a multi-tasker who is extremely aware of their surroundings.
Sharp and able to make decisions quickly. Knowledge and a passion
for cinema a must. Possess excellent leadership skills and confidence.
Experience with live events and crowd control. Public speaking
skills a plus. Quick learner and ability to set up and operate
audio video equipment is also a plus.
